Over half this year is gone, there have been a lot of steps since you left. I still start each day with a whisper of I love you and continue to put one foot in front of the other. I search each day for the direction and clues of why I am still here and not with you. I have learned it is not for me to decide I am just here along for the ride. Thank you Katherine and guides for your signs and nudging I think I will survive. I have learned the only way this can work is to remember the good times and make new ones with those still here. The poetry has become a source of release from grief but it is the meories we share Katherine that keep me alive. Thank you for that, I love you and will see you on the otherside , when it is time. Your Jerry for eternity.

Always loved this portrait with Kathy

Here Kathy is hosting her girl friends on an afternoon in her favorite chair at the table.

The ship has left the port with Kathy alone. Be safe my darling until we both are home.

We have always had an attraction to the California Coast. Here on our honeymoon in Carmel, a precious moment with my sweetheart at the waters edge.

She is my support. She is the one who made me what I am. With her by my side I was able to accomplish things I could never have alone. Two is always better than one!

One of Kathy's fondest dreams was to visit Alaska. We were finally able to check it off her list in Spring of 2004. Her she is looking at the glaciers from the inside passage.

This was a wonderful trip to Canada and New England in the fall of 2010.

By 1966 we were off to a good start in this picture with Stephen and Sharon at our new Whittier house.

You can see from this 1957 prom picture why her father and I called her our princess.

My father-in-law John C. Miller was so proud of his girls. Here Grace, Kathy and Peg posed for a rare together moment on the front steps of the house he built for them in Maywood. I am so grateful to him and Grace for sharing and intrusting their beloved daughter Katherine with me.

Katherine could always enjoy a night out. Here with friends at Benihanas we all shared a laugh and the joy of her company.

Kathy loved teaching and working with children. She was especially interested in helping the challenged students.

In this rare picture from a Blackburn Family picnic is 3 generations of Blackburn ladies; Kathy, Sydney, Melissa and Francesca.

Kathy's father John was a craftsman with wood. He made this high chair for her. It served our family as well and was used by all of our children .

Kathy loves baseball! The Angels were her team. Her son Michael here enjoy a game. Another great day at the ballpark.

Kathy formed a bond with four girl friends that has lasted for more than Six Decades. That is a very special story all it's own.

February 8, 1964, here we are off to Carmel Ca. for our honeymoon and the start of a lifetime of memories.

Kathy won a five year battle with breast cancer. Her courage and perseverance helped her through the difficult chemo and radiation therapies. I am so glad for all those new days that we able to have together.
