Memorial

On February 12, 2021 we lost our precious Katherine. She passed in Pomona at California Polytecnic University. The Blackburn Family mourns her passing and is thankful for the 78 years of joy and memories she has brought to so many. Kathy is survived by her husband Gerald and sister Margaret of Neenah, Wisconsin. She has three children; Sharon, Stephen and Michael. and seven grandchildren.

Donations

Katherine was a caring and sensitive human being who believed in extending a helping hand.The family and I have discussed her wishes for condolences and donation offers. She battled heart disease, Diabetes and Breast Cancer. On behalf of those battles we would request your consideration for donations to these organizations in her honor.

Columbia Memorial Space Center

Katherine and her husband Gerald have been champions and benefactors of education and learning since their family days with their children.They were founding members of the Aerospace Legacy Foundation and supporters of Columbia Memorial Space Center in Downey, California. In honor of her efforts donations to the center would be appreciated to help continue their work in Science and STEM Education.
